I know everyone says that you really find out who your real friends and family are during a crisis but until I was diagnosed I really never understood what that meant. What is it about cancer that scares so many people? My mom went through cancer treatments four times during her life and I remember so many of her friends helping out around the clock especially when my brother and sister and I were just toddlers and I always thought it was so nice of them.
